Treehouse Hotel
Wow!… What an incredible experience working with Starwood Hotels on the creation of this remarkable new addition to Manchester’s Hospitality scene.
No small undertaking, we had been working on the project for almost four years with pre-planning and design consultancy phases taking place well in advance of our on-site activity.
Implementing fifty years progressing biophilic design expertise and knowledge was a key component in our ability to deliver Starwood Hotels & Synergy Architects’ detailed design intent.
A Bespoke Hospitality Custom Installation
Beautiful artificial foliage fixed at 93m high, a plethora of live plants throughout including roof-top plant varieties to keep Treehouse Hotel’s beehive community content.
A statuesque custom made tree adorning the entrance area measuring some 8m in height and a vibrant HYVERT living wall to the exterior ground floor elevation.

Inspired by nature
Live planting displays featured throughout the hotel’s ground floor and mezzanine levels including Selloum, Schefflera, Ficus Lyrata and Ferns housed in aged terracotta, lava, and rustic containers to create a warm and organic ambience.
And preserved moss was used to dress internal walls and columns within communal areas to echo the connection with nature.
The exterior boasts a HYVERT living wall, which not only beautifies the facade but also offers numerous environmental benefits, such as reducing air pollution and enhancing biodiversity.

They were selected from our extensive FR+ (fire retardant) range and the end result is magnificent! – Especially our custom installation with Manchester lighting design studio, Artin Lights; a beautifully coloured, panelled glass window which conceals lighting and plants to create stunning colour and plant silhouettes.
