Biophilic office space

support biophilic workplace design with office plant hire

how to achieve it

biophilic workplace design allows architectural design to blend harmoniously with the surrounding natural vista. biophilic design maximises natural light potential into a building, and utilises natural materials for creating floor and wall coverings, furniture, decorative objects, and more.

interior colour palettes will also take influence from nature, with the inclusion of office plant displays, trees, and living walls all helping to bring the ‘outside’ in and promote the biophilic design philosophy perfectly.

how office plant hire supports building certifications

office plant displays, living walls, and other green infrastructure in the workplace can also assist with the WELL Building Standard and BREEAM building accreditation.

there is now widespread awareness of the importance of creating healthier and more sustainable workspaces; both for developers/commercial landlords to attract more tenants, and for companies to attract new workers. as a result, many businesses are working towards these certifications.

how office plant rental works

step 1: consultation
office plant hire from I Want Plants begins with a consultation. we’ll assess your workspace and identify the best types of indoor plants for your space, considering natural light, air quality, temperature, and what you want to achieve from your office plant installation.

step 2: proposal
following the initial design consultation, we’ll come back to you with a proposal for the types of office plant displays we recommend for your space. our team will also take the time to answer any questions you have.

step 3: installation
once you’ve confirmed you’re happy to proceed, we’ll allocate your plants and arrange a delivery date. your office plant installation will then be assembled by our horticulturally trained team, and we’ll make follow-up maintenance visits to keep your plants looking their best, all year round.

benefits of renting office plants

office plant hire can deliver so many benefits. multiple workplace studies have concluded that biophilic design increases productivity, with the Human Spaces: The Global Impact of Biophilic Design in the Workplace report from Interface finding that 33% of staff said the design of an office would affect their decision to work for a company. office plant displays are a key part of biophilic design.

other benefits of office plant rental include:

increase productivity - close proximity to nature can even help to combat stress and have a restorative effect on mental fatigue, making staff more motivated and productive.

create a calmer workspace - office plants can help to reduce the sound of a wide range of frequencies, including outside traffic or the whirring of office electronics. Sound reflects on all surfaces, so even installing trailing plants from the ceiling will help to minimise sound reverberations.

improve air quality - office plant displays with plentiful foliage can improve air quality by collecting a range of harmful pollutants, such as pm10, pm2.5, no2, and o3, which usually originate from outdoor urban sources and are typically brought in via mechanical or natural ventilation.

enhance employee wellbeing - office plant hire supports cleaner air, reduced sound, increased connection to nature, and visual privacy. all of this can contribute towards improved physical wellbeing, which in turn could reduce employee sickness and absenteeism.

Restricted natural light

Not all workspaces benefit from natural light which can make some live plant displays unviable

The good news is we can still help create some absolutely stunning artificial greenery displays which will augment the same, positive mental stimulation by giving occupants an energising and appealing green focal point.

Whether it's plant displays in statement containers, trailing plants from the ceiling, a green wall or a custom-made tree, you can learn more about all our artificial products below.

a certified better workspace

the introduction of green infrastructure on a larger scale within the workplace, can also assist with 'well' building certified and 'breeam' building accreditations.

in recent years, there's been much greater awareness made of the importance of creating healthier more sustainable workspaces; both for developers/commercial landlords to attract more tenants and companies to attract new workers.

this has resulted in greater appeal for achieving these accreditations or at the very least, working towards their achievement.

client testimonial

our hyvert living wall has become a popular addition to Liverpool Science Park's main entrance and it is fantastic to discover just how much this green infrastructure has been contributing to the sustainability credentials at lsp over the past two years.

we’ve found that our living wall has positively impacted upon airborne pollution filtration, sound absorption, rhizoremediation, insulation, and carbon capture within our innovation centre, which is benefitting all users of the building.
